Would it be too bold to say we don’t exist anymore? We haven’t officially disbanded, but since 2005 we’ve had no gigs, months could be spent in between band members seeing each other, jamming in rehearsals on occasional Fridays was our only activity. We gave up our domain www.darksunband.com in October 2007.

In September 2007 we jammed more frequently than for a long time – and with full crew. But in mid-October 2007 we got evicted from the old rehearsal room, with all the the artists of Vadelma. On December 21st 2007 we had a rehearsal in a cheap recording studio, a jam was captured on Santtu’s minidisc. So far that was the last time for the whole band to play together.
In mid-June 2008 we started studio sessions for a cover version of a Helios Creed song, so far half of the band members have visited the studio. In mid-July 2008 Santtu’s wife had their third child, and Illy moved to another town, Jyväskylä. We were invited to a rehearsal room in August 2008, but most of us weren’t interested enough to reply, and the rent would have been too high for just a couple of players. In May 2009 the Helios Creed project took a step forward as more instument tracks were added. A raw mix was immediately put on our MySpace page: www.myspace.com/darksunfinland. The final mix was submitted to the project later in 2009, we’re still waiting...
