Lynx Lynx: This Tribe of Yours
Nasoni Records (NASONI095-2 CD)

This young German band is a rather exceptional among the Nasoni bands since they are not psychedelic, stoner, space or kraut rock or prog but pretty straight-forward, raw and primitive rock. They have influences of garage, punk, blues etc. The band is formed by four musicians (two boys and two girls) and the instrumentation includes mainly guitars, bass, drums and vintage organ. Before this they have released a couple of EP’s and also been featured on The Fuzztones tribute. The music seems to be recorded analogically and the sound in the album is very ragged and unfinished which is an integral part of the album’s charm. The songs have both male and female vocals and the music has enough variation ranging from wild, primeval blasting to slower, bluesy ballads. My personal favorite is the bit hypnotic, pounding title track that has some psych elements as well. There are several other pretty good numbers on the disd and the guitar sound is in a nice way ragged at times, but I still think this is one of weakest releases on Nasoni. It’s still not that bad, and the band surely has plenty of energy and attitude. This 37-minute-long album has 11 tracks on it and it’s also available on vinyl in the usual Nasoni style.
