	A new album and live gigs by The Bevis Frond (Sep-09-2011) An old Psychotropic Zone fave The Bevis Frond will release a new album after a hiatus of several years. This is what the band leader Nick Saloman said in The Bevis Frond Yahoo group: “I can now reveal that the official release date of the new Bevis album is October 10^th. It’s called ‘The Leaving Of London’ and it will be available as a single CD, a ltd edition double vinyl album, and also as a download via i-Tunes. You’ll be able to buy the CD and vinyl direct from me. I’ll give you the necessary info in a little while. As you may know, we’re gigging in London on Saturday November 19^th at The 229 Club in Great Portland Street. We’ll be doing the Psychedelic Network Festival in Wurzburg on November 26^th. I think we’re playing in Helsinki at ‘Tavastia’ on Dec 1^st, but I’m not 100% sure yet. It also looks like we’ll be in Athens for a show sometime in January. It’s also looking quite probable that there will be a European tour in early 2012. So hooray!” The album will be distributed by Shellshock. Unfortunately the Tavastia date seems rather unlikely since the Tavastia website says they will have Von Herzen Brothers on Dec. 1^st.

	Øresund Space Collective News 2011 (Mar-09-2011) I hope everyone is having a good year so far. If you are a fan of the Øresund Space Collective you will be very happy this year as we will have many releases in the next few months. We are also playing out much more this year than last year. In late March, the CD version of Dead Man in Space will come out on Space Rock Productions (our own company). This was originally released in Jan 2010 on the Kommun2 label out of Malmö in 300 copies on vinyl only. IT is sold out. The CD version features an extended version of the High Pilots track (now 32mins), an unreleased track from the same recording session called Who Tripped on the C(h)ord? and a remix of the Dead man in Space track. This release will be followed by a double vinyl live record recorded Live at the Roadburn Festival in Holland in April 2010. This will be a vinyl only release in 500 copies. A digipack CD called Sleeping with the Sunworm (500 hand numbered copies) will be released in the summer. Artwork will be by British CD artist, David Graham. This is the last material from the October 2008 recording session that lead to the Dead man in Space and Slip into the Vortex CD releases. Finally, Kommun2 has agreed to release a series of 3 vinyl records with the best of the material that we have recorded in Sept 2010 and features the famous Danish guitar player, Claus Bøhling (Hurdy Gurdy, Secret Oyster, Elektrum). The first record will likely come out before the summer and the others will follow in the fall. These are most likely to be pressed in 300 copies only. Peter, who did the amazing artwork for the Dead man in Space LP, will also provide the covers (at least for the 1^st one).
